I am Doug and they were my Phil, Stu and Alan. If you’ve watched The Hangover, then you know what happened at our vacey. Though really not the exact story. No one missed a tooth, but someone missed an eye (contact lens), no tiger in the bathroom, no baby in the closet, and definitely no drugs involved. But someone is missing.

It was my first ever photoshoot and it was totally nerve wracking! My lopsided eyes. My hunched back. My big smile. My fugly fats. My thin hair. They were always my issues. I always thought there’s no way I could do this crazy thing..

It was fun. The whole photoshoot thing just uplifted my self esteem. I mean, c’mon! Who would have thought that I would look good here. LOL.

The modeling experience wasn’t that easy. It’s kinda hard to strike a pose while concealing my imperfections. And it’s even harder thinking I’m really not that cute nor gorgeous, nor adorable, nor pretty when I’m not smiling. But what the hell happened? The moment I set myself in front of the cameras, I totally let go of my insecurities. I didn’t bother to think that having flat affect doesn’t look good on me.

Yah. There would always be people saying, “Todo emote.”, “F na F!”, “Emote na emote.”, “Feeling ampota!”. Kfine. Say whatever you want. I really don’t care as long as I had fun and I satisfied my photographers. And I think I did a great job if you can see emotions through these pictures. Who are you?? My Mr. Jay Manuel?

Anyway, big thanks to Anna Cuevas for giving me a shot and asking me to do this. Also to Mark Lester Cabasa, Ate Madie Palero, and Sir Keneth Violeta. They all did the magic and captured my imperfections. :))

I don’t have pretty eyes. My lips are always cracked. I hate having scoliosis. I always wish my legs were much longer. I don’t have fair skin. My hair is always a mess. But thank god for the confidence! I guess that’s all I got to stand out. :)
